Crossroads Prison Ministry

MINISTRY UPDATE: DECEMBER 2019

Our Crossroad Ministry continues to help people in prisons all over the world come to know the Lord. We know that prayer changes people's hearts and helps them grow spiritually, so we are encouraged as mentors to pray much for our students.

In correcting a lesson each week, we hear from our students the prayer needs that concern them and they request that we pray for them.

Following are a few quotes and requests that students ask their mentors to pray about:

-Clayton tells his mentor that he is receiving more help from the Crossroad Bible Study than he ever has had before in other Bible Studies he has done. He wants His mentor to pray with him and ask God to send him a Christian wife and help him establish a Christian home and family; also that government leaders will seek God's help in running our country. He states that he became a Christian 17 years ago when he was first sent to prison.

-Gilbert desires prayer for God's blessing on him and also on the Crossroad Ministry, also that he will surrender his will to God and be obedient to the Word and to the Holy Spirit.

-James asks for prayer for his family members who need Christ in their lives. His sister is an atheist,  even though she seems to like to hear the message of the Bible; she is also very tenderhearted and intelligent.

-Mario shares with his mentor that he has been persecuted for his faith and has now been able to move into a faith-based dorm. He also knows that he is where God wants him to be.

It is truly a blessing to see these people grow in their faith. If you would be interested in becoming a mentor and helping a prisoner come to know the Lord, please call Chris at 924-5776 or Joyce at 924-0907. They will be happy to help you get started. You will be truly blessed as you help these people grow in their faith. -JF
